SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Fifteen-year head coach Brian Walsh has announced the 2014 Western New England University women's cross country team awards, including most valuable player Jonathan Ricciardi (Pattersonville, N.Y./Schalmont High School), , rookie of the year Reese Laviolette (Three Rivers/Palmer HS), Unsung Hero Award winner Joe Corso (Fort Edward [N.Y.] High) and most improved runner Edwin Kaczenski (Northfield, Mass./Brattleboro [Vt.] Oak Meadow. The quartet, along with their teammates, were honored at the Western New England Athletics fall sports banquet held earlier this month at Rivers Memorial Hall.
