SPRINGFIELD, Mass.--Fifteen-year head coach Brian Walsh has announced the Western New England University women's cross country team awards, including most valuable player Kirsten White (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly High School), coach's award winner Hadiatou Barry (New York, N.Y./Douglass Academy II), rookie of the year Kathleen Silveira (Plainfield [Conn.] High) and most improved runner Rachel Duda (Clinton, Conn./Morgan HS). The quartet, along with their teammates, were honored at the Western New England Athletics fall sports banquet held earlier this month at Rivers Memorial Hall.
