Westfield, Mass. -- The Salem State men's cross country team competed at the ECAC Championships hosted by Westfield State on Saturday morning at Stanley Park. Over 40 teams competed with 303 runners competing on the 8k course. Captain Brett McCoy - #195 (29:29), sophomore Austin Poulton - #168 (28:59) and freshman Alex Coles - #247 (30:32) shined on the day for the Vikings. The standout for the day was Poulton who successfully completed the 8k course in 28:59, his first collegiate, sub-29 minute race.
